Metro Atlanta
Metropolitan Atlanta is comprised of Cobb, DeKalb, Fulton, and Gwinnett Counties. Buzzing with life and anchored by a vast spectrum of business, education, recreation, and entertainment options, Atlanta continues its long tradition of growth and constant improvement. Families and individuals are making their ways to Atlanta to enjoy a quality of life unavailable in most major American cities today. Multiple international corporate headquarters, major universities, four professional sports teams, and world-renowned cultural destinations such as the High Museum of Art and Atlanta Symphony Orchestra all call Metro Atlanta home. The world’s largest piece of exposed granite, Stone Mountain, rises high above resort golf courses, and the Chattahoochee River snakes through the metropolitan area, flanked on either side by wide swaths of the Chattahoochee National Forest. Having risen from the ashes of the Civil War some 150 years ago, Atlanta is again the true capital of the American Southeast, and the future looks bright for this Olympic City and its residents.
